Aquinas’s Jermaine Jenas went along to represent The Aquinas Foundation at Djanogly Northgate Primary school to present a speech about the importance of attendance in School. The children were very happy to have a guest speaker at their school and I am sure it will help to give them some inspiration for their own future and what they can achieve if they put their mind to something.

Sam Leggitt and Ben Clarke from Aquinas Education have been working with Rosslyn Park Primary to help the school with their attendance projects. They went along to the school to present the awards which we had provided the school with. It was great to see the children happy and full of smiles awaiting the results of the attendance award for 2015.
We at Rosslyn Park Primary would like to say a huge thank you the contributions you have made towards our attendance assemblies.
Year on year our 100% and 99% attenders have increased and we feel that the lovely prizes you have provided us is definitely a motivator for them to come to school every day!
We are extremely grateful for the generous jungletastic vouchers, cinema trip, bike and kindle you have given to our pupils and for you both to take time out to present the trophies at the Attendance assemblies has been absolutely fantastic. Without Aquinas’ contribution we would not be able to present the children with awards prizes and that means so much to them. (Mandy Lau Attendance Officer)
We are very pleased that due to the help from The Aquinas Foundation Rosslyn Park have improved their attendance scores once again. We understand how important it is for the children to want to attend school every day and what a great achievement it is when they receive 100% for the year.
Aquinas Education have become a part of The Spirit of London, an alliance of organisations and individuals who have come together to inspire the young people of London.
Our Company is all about inspiring the young students of today! we are always thinking of ways to keep pupils interested in school and we try to use celebrity sports personalities as much as we can to reinforce the power of a good education.
This picture was taken at the SOLA Roadshow at the Bishop Chanoller School where Aquinas’ Jermaine Jenas was there to talk about our company and what inspirational things we can do for schools.
The Aquinas Foundation are always looking to support the schools that we work with and Reigate Primary School in Derby is one of them. They have recently had a new Library renovation and we did our very best to make their re launch a special occasion.
The BBC News were present on the day and we arranged for Simon Dawkins(Derby County) to pay a special visit to the school.
Simon Dawkins is a professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for English club Derby County and the Jamaica national team, he kindly gave up his busy schedule to come along with Aquinas to give a reading of the Gruffalo story book to the small year groups at Reigate… The children absolutely loved every minute of it.
He then took time to open the new library which was covered on the BBC news. Later that afternoon Simon partook in a question and answer session which was part of an assembly for the year 5 and 6’s, the pupils had really thought hard about the questions that they were going to ask him and all looked as though they thoroughly enjoyed having a special guest in their school.
After all of this Dawkins waited around at the school for all of the children to get their autograph books signed by himself.
Reigate School are promoting reading to all of its students and with the help of Simon Dawkins the day was a huge success and I’m sure the schools library will be bustling with children most days now.
The Aquinas Foundation went along to present the winner at Whitegate Primary School for the 100% attendance award. Also present was Lillian Greenwood local Labour MP who was there to award all of the 100% attendance certificates to the children.
Attendance is a very important topic in schools and we are always looking to help the individual schools that we work with, with any problem areas they may have. It is so easy for pupils to start falling behind in school merely by taking a couple of days off, so if we can help the school to encourage the children in any way to try their very best to be in school every day then we will.
We provided the school with the incentive of a Brand New Land Rover Mountain Bike and the winner was drawn out of a hat during the awards ceremony.
The lucky winner was David pictured here with the Head Master of Whitegate Primary, he had received 100% attendance which is a great achievement and something both himself and his parents should be proud of.
We have been working with Whitegate School on their attendance projects for a few years now and are very pleased to hear of how much our help has subsequently increased their attendance scores and The Aquinas Foundation will continue to support the school with such projects in the future.
We have been working with The Carlton Academy for a while now and we always strive to make sure that they are happy with not only our supply staff but also with the way we support the school from the Aquinas Foundation... we have been able to help the school with giving incentives to the children which plays a huge part in the schools rewards system and encourages the students to push their efforts throughout the whole schooling year. It is great for us to receive feedback especially when it is so positive…
“Our work with Aquinas this year has been very positive in all respects. A school never wants to have to use supply staff to cover for absent staff, however, there are times when this has to happen. In each case we have felt that the agency has provided us with well qualified staff who are positive about working in school. Aquinas has effectively and efficiently responded well to our feedback and needs of the school which we appreciate. It has also been really kind of Aquinas to provide us with a number of prizes for our students as part of the school rewards system, it has been fantastic that we are able to rely on Aquinas to continue their support and contribution to maintain and further educate our students here at The Carlton Academy” (Richard Pierrepont- Head Teacher)
We will continue to support The Carlton Academy and look forward to hearing of the positive effects our help can have on the students throughout the year.
